Job summary

8 Cents in a Jar, Inc is seeking a Digital Design & Social Media Intern to help tell stories of students, families, partners, and communities. You will craft engaging visuals, videos, and social content that connect audiences to financial education and economic mobility.

You’ll work with a small team from home in Central Florida, contribute to mission-driven campaigns, and gain hands-on experience building a branded content library for ongoing programs and events.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative eye and willingness to experiment with storytelling, design, video, and digital content.
• Familiarity with major social media platforms and how content differs across them.
• Experience with Canva, Affinity, Adobe Creative Suite, Mailchimp, Wix or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission and programs into compelling content and visuals.
• Design graphics, flyers, presentations, and social media assets using Canva and other tools.
• Support digital marketing campaigns across email, social, web, and other platforms.
• Create and edit short-form videos, reels, and photos for various programs and campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a consistent brand look across digital and printed materials.
• Attend programs and events to capture photos, videos, and participant experiences.
• Plan content days with storyboards and shot lists.
