Job summary

Humane World for Animals is seeking a Digital Asset Manager to lead the strategy, governance, and day-to-day management of our global digital asset management system. You will serve as the SME in rights management, partnering across departments to support fundraising, advocacy, brand, and other priorities.

You will oversee governance, work with the Office of General Counsel, train users, handle licensing, and supervise the Digital Asset Specialist.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in library and information science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience as Digital Asset Manager or similar role.
• 3-5 years of people management experience.
• 3-5 years managing relationships with enterprise DAM vendors.
• Experience with Aprimo or other enterprise DAM systems.
• Proficient in JSON; familiarity with Markdown or HTML.
• Strong understanding of taxonomy, metadata, rights management, and copyright.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, governance, and daily management of the DAM system.
• Develop strategy, roadmap, testing, and vendor relationships.
• Train staff and support system users; ensure rights and contracts management.
• Supervise Digital Asset Specialist; manage external media access and stock.
• Improve user experience and monitor system KPIs; ensure accessibility.
• Distribute imagery to external partners and media; support press portals.
