Job summary

EBSCO Information Services, Inc. is seeking a Digital Accessibility Specialist to partner with cross-functional teams and ensure EBSCOhost and related products meet WCAG, Section 508, and EN 301 549 standards.

This early-career role offers growth in testing, remediation, and building accessibility into products. The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of accessibility experience, familiarity with assistive technologies (JAWS/NVDA/VoiceOver), and a basic grasp of HTML/CSS/JavaScript for accessible web

Qualifications

0-2 years of accessibility experience (internships, coursework, certifications, or hands-on projects welcome).
Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers like JAWS, NVDA, or VoiceOver).
Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript as they relate to accessible web development.
Ability to work collaboratively across teams and communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Communicate and collaborate with customers.
Conduct manual and automated accessibility testing against WCAG 2.2 AA, EN 301 549, and Section 508 standards.
Document accessibility defects clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify remediation approaches.
Support accessibility audits of new and existing features throughout the development lifecycle.
Help maintain and update accessibility documentation, including ACRs (VPATs), Roadmaps, Statements, etc.
Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to advocate for accessible design and development practices.
Stay current on evolving accessibility standards, assistive technologies, and industry best practices.
