Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Radiologist to perform the full range of diagnostic radiology for VA patients. This role may be performed remotely; duties include interpretation of imaging studies and timely reporting to referring clinicians, with emphasis on quality and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• MD or equivalent in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• License to practice medicine in the U.S. (full and unrestricted)
• Residency training approved by VA for board eligibility
• ACGME/AOA approved residency or equivalent
• Board-certified radiology is required
• English proficiency (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiology readings (x-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, mammography) and provide timely reports
• Interpret and communicate findings remotely to referring providers
• Meet turnaround time standards for routine, urgent and STAT studies
• Perform administrative tasks and complete medical record documentation
• Attend staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned
