Job summary

UNC Health Southwestern is seeking per-diem Diagnostic/Procedural Radiologists to read procedures remotely from Lumberton, NC, with night and weekend coverage. The role involves interpreting emergent imaging and providing prompt reports to support acute decisions.

This position offers flexible scheduling and may be contracted as 1099. It reads remotely for the hospital and requires ABR certification and strong imaging proficiency.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology.
• Proficient with general diagnostic imaging.
• Team-oriented and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Interpret emergent and urgent imaging studies from the Emergency Department, including CT, radiography, and ultrasound.
• Provide timely, accurate reports to support acute clinical decision-making.
• Communicate critical and unexpected findings directly with Emergency Medicine providers.
