Remote DevSecOps Engineer - Night Shift

Job summary

OpenTalent is seeking a experienced DevSecOps Engineer for a remote role operating during Pakistan night shift. You will own uptime, cloud infrastructure across AWS/GCP/Azure, and SOC 2 compliance efforts while leading automated defense and incident response.

You will build and improve CI/CD pipelines, monitor security posture, and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to enable rapid, safe releases.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Strong experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Proven track record in SOC 2 compliance, security hardening, and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, PagerDuty, etc.).
• Hands-on with automation, scripting (Python, Bash), and infrastructure-as-code.
• Comfortable owning uptime, performance, and deployment metrics.
• Strong communicator, able to translate technical risks into business terms.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & Cloud Operations: Maintain uptime and manage cloud infra with automation and monitoring.
• DevOps & CI/CD: Maintain pipelines, optimize deployments, reduce lead time and failure rate.
• Security & Compliance: SOC 2 controls, vulnerability scans, monthly audits, patching within 24h.
• Monitoring & Incident Response: 24/7 monitoring, first line of defense for incidents, post-incident reviews.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work with Eng/Prod, provide weekly updates and monthly security/uptime reports.
