Job summary

Core4ce is hiring a DevSecOps Engineer to deliver containerization, virtualization, cloud and systems engineering for a large DoD program. The role encompasses cybersecurity, training development, support, testing, lifecycle logistics, and sustainment with a flexible scope that adapts to business needs.

The successful candidate will manage container services, Kubernetes environments, and AWS resources, while ensuring security compliance and DoD policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• 7+ years administering Linux operating systems, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux
• 5+ years designing and deploying hardened Kubernetes clusters (Rancher/OpenShift) with dev/stage/prod environments
• 2+ years Windows operating system experience
• 2+ years AWS experience (EKS, EC2, S3, EBS, Load-Balancers, RDS)
• Experience with Kubernetes tools: GitLab, Harbor, ArgoCD, StackRox, Keycloak
• DoD environment experience navigating network/access/security policies and requirements
• Ability to obtain Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Engineering new container services
• Understand customer requirements and evaluate best solutions
• Sustain existing container orchestration systems
• Support system architecture design and implementation
• Manage accounts and network rights
• Manage system resources (performance, capacity, availability)
• Implement security procedures and tools
• Document systems administration standard operating procedures
• Troubleshoot compute infrastructure/software interfaces
• Ensure Kubernetes environment availability and configuration integrity
• Install and integrate system fixes, updates, enhancements
• Apply information security/information assurance policies consistently
• Position evolving to meet business needs and enable growth
