Job summary

CESI, a By Light company, seeks an experienced DevOps professional to research, develop, implement, and maintain DevOps processes for complex DoD cybersecurity software. You will automate deployments, manage VM and container configurations, and continually improve CI/CD pipelines across hybrid cloud environments.

The role requires strong scripting, configuration management, and collaboration with developers to implement robust DevOps solutions in secure federal IT settings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited college or university.
• IAT Level II or greater. Security+, CISSP or other equivalent certification within six months of date of hire.
• Security+ certification required within 6 months of date of hire.
• Understanding of commercial DevOps tools and processes.
• Use scripting languages for automation, administration, data collection and reporting. This job requires the ability to write, test, debug, deploy, and sustain scripts.
• Configuration manage, version control, and backup various scripts and work products created to execute and maintain the environment.
• Prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands.
• Lead small projects to research and/or implement new technologies.
• Effective interpersonal and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain automation deployment and monitoring scripts.
• Research and implement CI/CD tools and processes.
• Automate application deployments and manage VM and container configurations.
• Develop, test, and deploy automation across multiple environments.
• Ensure system stability, accessibility, and proper configuration.
• Support a fully automated CI-CD pipeline using enterprise platforms.
• Monitor, maintain, and support VMs, containers, and apps.
• Collaborate with developers to align changes with testing plans.
• Troubleshoot system problems and document resolutions.
• Manage work in an enterprise ticketing system.
