Job summary

Appsierra Group is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a remote independent contractor role. You will contribute to scalable cloud infrastructure, focusing on CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and automation. The engagement requires at least 20 hours per week and offers hourly compensation.

Responsibilities include designing production-style tasks, writing reference solutions, reviewing AI-generated outputs, and ensuring correctness and reproducibility of workflows across Linux environments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure experience.
• Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript.
• Hands-on CI/CD with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• IaC with Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux and Git.
• Professional English, written and spoken.
• Availability of at least 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic DevOps tasks based on production-style scenarios involving CI/CD, containers, orchestration, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and incident response.
• Write working reference solutions with clear setup and validation steps.
• Review AI-generated outputs, identify failures, and provide precise corrections with supporting reasoning.
• Maintain a high standard for correctness and reproducibility.
• Provide structured feedback to improve future task design.
