Job summary

The Society of American Foresters is seeking a Development Manager to lead individual giving, fundraising, and partnerships. You will design and implement campaigns, engage donors, and oversee SAF’s eight donor funds, estate giving, and planned giving programs.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Events and Sales, this remote or hybrid role in Washington, DC, offers opportunities to collaborate with volunteers and develop strong donor relations while advancing SAF's mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit environment.
• At least 3 years of donor management and fundraising experience.
• Willing to travel 5-10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead individual giving campaigns and fundraising events.
• Cultivate donor relationships and manage eight donor funds.
• Coordinate estate/planned giving programs.
• Prepare donor acknowledgements and written communications.
• Develop and pitch proposals for diverse sectors.
