CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Detection Engineer to advance our NG-SIEM rule set for managed detection and response. You will drive threat research, build high-fidelity detections, and collaborate across teams to improve scale and quality.

You’ll engage with AI-enabled tooling, CI/CD for detections, and on-call rotation while contributing to a culture of responsible AI adoption. This remote US role emphasizes seniority and impact.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in detection engineering, security engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats and SIEM-based detections.
• Certifications such as GCFA/GCDA/GCIH are preferred.
• Experience analyzing large datasets across vendors and tools.
• Hands-on with SIEM platforms listed above and AI-integrated workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform threat research to identify emergent TTPs and develop detections.
• Develop and validate high-fidelity CrowdStrike Next-Gen SIEM rules.
• Review code and test detections before production deployment.
• Apply CI/CD practices to deploy detections as code.
• Leverage AI-powered tooling to accelerate detection development.
• Collaborate with SIEM architects on data normalization and parsing.
• Create utilities to enable scalable detection operations.
• Document processes and participate in on-call rotation.
