Job summary

CrowdStrike Inc. is seeking a Detection Engineer to join the Falcon Complete Detection Engineering team. You will build high-fidelity NG-SIEM detections, perform threat research, and deploy rules to support CrowdStrike's managed detection and response services.

Responsibilities include collaborating with SIEM architects, integrating AI-assisted workflows, and contributing to scalable tooling. A strong background in SIEM and threat intelligence is required, with a focus on rapid, secure

Qualifications

• 3+ years in detection engineering, security engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of current cyber threats and SIEM detection
• Certifications such as GCFA, GCDA, GCIH, etc.
• Experience analyzing large datasets across vendors and tech
• Experience with SIEM solutions (LogScale, Splunk, SumoLogic, Sentinel, QRadar, LogRhythm)
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI coding agents a plus
• Python or scripting experience preferred
• Curious, self-motivated mindset with high standards
• Proven experience using AI to enhance decision-making and workflows

Responsibilities

• Perform threat research and hunting to identify emerging TTPs for detections
• Develop, test, and deploy high fidelity CrowdStrike NG-SIEM detection rules
• Conduct code reviews and testing for quality and performance before deployment
• Use CI/CD best practices to deploy detections as code
• Leverage AI tooling to accelerate threat research, rule development, and automation
• Collaborate with SIEM architects to standardize data parsing and event schemas
• Build and maintain tools for the managed services team at scale
• Develop and maintain processes and documentation
• Participate in a Detection Engineer on-call rotation
