Job summary

CrowdStrike, Inc. in the United States is hiring for a Detection Engineer on the FCDE team to build and maintain NG-SIEM detections powering our managed detection and response. You will research threats, develop rules, and contribute to AI-driven tooling to accelerate detection workflows.

Expect to collaborate across data parsing, normalization, and scale-driven operations. Qualifications include 3+ years in detection/security roles, SIEM experience with multiple platforms, and Python scripting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a detection/security engineer or similar role.
• Knowledge of current cyber threats and detection using SIEM tech.
• Relevant certifications (GCFA, GCDA, GCIH, etc.).
• Experience analyzing large datasets across vendors/technologies.
• SIEM experience with LogScale, Splunk, SumoLogic, Sentinel, QRadar, LogRhythm, etc.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI coding agents; experience integrating workflows a plus.
• Python or other scripting experience strongly preferred.
• A curious, self-motivated mindset with high personal standards.
• Proven use of AI to improve decision-making and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform threat research and hunting to identify TTPs for detections.
• Develop, test, deploy high fidelity CrowdStrike SIEM detections for MDR.
• Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure quality prior to deployment.
• Leverage CI/CD to deploy detections as code.
• Contribute to AI-powered detection tooling and workflows.
• Collaborate with SIEM architects on data parsing and normalization.
• Build and maintain utilities for the managed services team at scale.
• Develop and maintain processes and documentation.
• Participate in on-call rotation for Detection Engineering.
