Job summary

PurposeBuilt Brands Inc. is seeking a Design Manager to lead HomeShine Studios, elevating creative output for packaging and consumer brands. You will mentor designers, shape campaigns, and ensure brand consistency while collaborating with marketing.

The role emphasizes leadership, initiative, and a strong portfolio in packaging and shopper marketing. Remote-friendly with occasional onsite packaging mockups and proofs, up to 2 days weekly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in graphic design with a focus on packaging, including 1–2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• A dynamic creative portfolio showcasing a range of projects, including packaging and shopper marketing examples.
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong grasp of packaging design principles, printing processes (digital and flexographic), and production best practices
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities across diverse brands and timelines.
• Excellent creative and storytelling abilities, with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas and concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Conceptualize, design and execute across campaigns and projects.
• Uphold high standards of quality and detail across all deliverables.
• Execute traditional design including packaging, in-store displays, and branding.
• Collaborate with marketing to communicate brand messages and product features.
• Stay current with industry trends and tools to improve output quality.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining creativity and production quality.
• Ensure brand consistency and adherence to guidelines across deliverables.
• Oversee translation of concepts into print-ready files.
• Build relationships with creative partners and internal stakeholders.
• Facilitate handoff between creative and production.
