Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center has a new opportunity in the Revenue Cycle Department for a Technical Denials Management Specialist II. You will review, research and resolve claim denials and appeals, identifying payment trends to maximize collections.

The ideal candidate is experienced with EPIC Resolute. Shift: Flex start 0600-0900; this is a Work From Home position for applicants living in the Greater Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Qualifications

• Experience with reconsideration, redetermination, and appeals with health insurance carriers.
• Ability to resolve denials using remittance/EOB and payer portal sources.
• Strong communication and collaboration with payers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Review, research and resolve claim denials and appeals for multiple payers.
• Identify payment trends to maximize collections and reduce denials.
• Lead workflow activities and provide guidance to teammates on payer requirements and Epic processes.
• Train staff on denial management workflows and resolution steps.
