Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Denials Management Coder to review denied claims for coding errors and apply CPT/ICD-10 corrections. You will ensure compliance with government and local guidelines while addressing denials for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers.

This remote, work-from-home role requires at least one year of denial coding experience, CPC/COC or CCS certification, and strong communication skills to collaborate with teammates and providers.

Qualifications

• CPC/COC or CCS certification required.
• Minimum one year of coding experience in denials.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines preferred.
• HIPAA and PHI guidelines knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret insurance carrier EOBs.
• Review medical reports and verify coding.
• Resolve coding denials and make corrections.
• Generate replacement claims (electronic and paper).
• Research carrier-specific coding policies.
• Review and interpret carrier NCD and LCD policies.
• Communicate denial trends to coding manager.
