Job summary

For People is seeking a delivery lead for a government data platform project. This fully remote role supports CMS data publication and cross-functional teams across the U.S. Occasional travel to CMS headquarters in Baltimore may be required.

The position requires 8+ years in program management, experience with government contracts, and strong agile practices. Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $160,000 per year with company health insurance and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in program or project management, including managing government contracts.
• Experience with open data projects.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, 15–25 people as contract grows.
• Deep knowledge of agile product management principles.
• Ability to oversee task order management including reporting, sprint planning, and project planning.
• Experience facilitating stakeholder engagement across multiple government agency offices and data owners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as delivery lead on a cross-functional team of about 15 people, spanning engineering, design, user research, and support functions.
• Run agile practices including sprints, planning cycles, demos, and retrospectives, with CMS stakeholders.
• Coordinate with CMS offices that publish data on the public portal; identify and mitigate risks to delivery.
• Ensure compliance with contract, security, and accessibility requirements (Section 508; ATO).
• Report status and outcomes to CMS and For People leadership using dashboards and drive efficiency via automation.
• Lead the handoff from the current contractor in the first months to avoid user disruption.
