Jobot is seeking a Paralegal for a defense litigation role based in Michigan with remote work flexibility. You will work closely with attorneys to manage case files, conduct legal research, draft documents, and assist with trial preparation.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of defense litigation experience, familiarity with Michigan court rules, and a degree plus an ABA‑approved paralegal certificate. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal practice management software is essential.

Competenze

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Certificate preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of defense litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or medical malpractice.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Mansioni

• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, motions, and correspondence.
• Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring organization and deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review.
• Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including witness coordination and exhibits.
• File documents with state and federal courts (electronic and in person).
• Communicate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel professionally.
• Maintain accurate billing records and time entries per firm policies.
