Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer to join a remote contract engagement with a government-focused client. The role emphasizes building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, Databricks workloads, and Informatica-based data integration in cloud platforms.

You will work with PySpark, Delta Lake, and data ingestion frameworks while collaborating with data architects, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud-based analytics platforms.
• 3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica IICS, or Informatica Cloud.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or Informatica IICS.
• Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
• Create scalable solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and quality issues.
• Support migration to modern cloud-based architectures.
• Document data mappings and runbooks; participate in agile sprints.
