Job summary

Corner Alliance is seeking a Databricks Consultant with 6+ years of experience to lead the design and development of a Databricks-based analytics dashboard prototype for federal clients.

You will build scalable data ingestion pipelines, transform data, and create interactive dashboards using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, and Delta Lake. The role is remote as a contractor starting in October for ~80 hours/month over two months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, GIS, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, software development, BI, or related roles.
• Hands-on Databricks development experience in production or prototype solutions.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with Spark/PySpark and large datasets.
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines, data transformations, and data quality controls.
• Experience building interactive dashboards and BI solutions from integrated datasets.
• Experience with Git and modern software practices (code review, testing, documentation).
• Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into practical technical designs and working functionality.
• Excellent communication of technical decisions to technical and non-technical audiences.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and ability to pass public trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of a Databricks-based dashboard prototype.
• Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, integration, and quality-control workflows.
• Develop interactive dashboards with maps, comparisons, trends, filters, KPIs, and outputs.
• Build analytical datasets using Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark, Delta Lake, and Databricks workflows.
• Translate questions into data products, visualizations, queries, and reusable workflows.
• Design and test AI-assisted querying and data-discovery with strong source grounding.
• Document architecture, pipelines, schemas, and deployment procedures for transfer.
• Carry out Corner Alliance commitments to deliver, grow, and thrive.
