Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group seeks an experienced Data Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data strategy and architecture. The role focuses on ontology, AI platforms, and scalable patterns across Palantir, Snowflake, and AWS, partnering with technology and business leaders to enable secure, governed data use.

You will define architecture standards for Ontology integration with core systems, data mesh patterns, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, Solution Architecture, or related roles, with 5+ years in an enterprise or domain architect capacity.
• 4+ years designing enterprise Data, Cloud, or AI architectures at scale.
• Deep expertise in enterprise data modeling, ontology/knowledge graph concepts, data mesh/data product thinking, and domain-driven design.
• Strong architecture expertise with AWS, cloud-native patterns, event-driven and API-based integration, high availability, observability, and IaC.
• Sufficient Python and SQL fluency to evaluate designs and review implementations.
• Experience architecting AI/ML, GenAI, RAG, and Agentic AI solutions, including governance and Responsible AI controls.
• Working knowledge of data governance frameworks, regulatory and privacy requirements, and security architecture.
• Ability to mentor solution architects and establish architecture standards and practices.
• Strong collaboration across Architecture, Engineering, Product, Security, Data Governance, Operations, and business teams.
• Experience leading Palantir platform adoption across multiple business domains strongly preferred.
• P&C insurance experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define reference architectures and usage patterns for Foundry and AIP capabilities and set guardrails for their use.
• Establish integration of Ontology with core systems of record and the enterprise data platform.
• Define architecture for AI, GenAI, and Agentic workflows grounded in the Ontology with governance and Responsible AI controls.
• Define the data architecture target state and roadmap including data models, data products, and data mesh patterns.
• Set standards for data integration, API, and event-driven patterns across Snowflake, Kafka/MSK, and Palantir.
• Establish data governance, lineage, metadata, quality, privacy, and security requirements.
• Rationalize the data/analytics platform portfolio and define interoperability across Snowflake, Palantir, AWS data services.
• Provide direction for AWS-based data/AI capabilities (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.), focusing on patterns, security, resiliency, observability, and cost.
• Lead Architecture Review for data/AI initiatives; develop business cases and executive narratives linking data/AI investments to outcomes.
• Mentor architects and collaborate across teams to enable scalable enterprise data/AI solutions.
