Job summary

KeyCorp is seeking a Data Security Governance Manager to lead a team protecting KeyBank and client data through enterprise data security governance, monitoring, encryption, certificate management, key management, cryptographic asset awareness, and data protection controls.

This Senior Manager will guide daily operations, mature governance processes, partner with technology and business teams, and drive a program to understand cryptographic assets and prepare for post-quantum readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or equivalent work experience.
• Experience leading information security, data security, governance, or related teams.
• Strong understanding of encryption, certificate and key management.
• Familiar with data protection, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with audit processes and documenting controls.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive audiences.
• Proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead a data security governance team overseeing encryption key management and certificate lifecycles.
• Develop and tune database activity monitoring and data masking governance.
• Collaborate with security architects and other teams to align with enterprise standards.
• Drive post-quantum cryptography readiness and asset inventory.
• Provide governance metrics, reporting, and executive updates.
• Support audits and regulatory inquiries with evidence of control effectiveness.
