Job summary

VivSoft Technologies LLC is seeking a Data Scientist to analyze large, multi-source datasets and build scalable ML models using Apache Spark in a remote role. The candidate will leverage lakehouse architectures and AI-assisted tools, delivering actionable insights for federal-focused projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of data science experience, strong statistics, Python/SQL expertise, and a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
5+ years of professional Data Science/Analytics experience
U.S. Citizen with an active Security clearance (Secret)
Proficiency in Python and SQL; distributed SQL engines like Athena, Trino, Spark SQL
Experience with lakehouse architectures and data partitioning
Experience with AI-assisted analytical tools and validation against baselines
Experience creating dashboards and metrics with Grafana or similar tools
Ability to communicate complex findings to diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

Analyze large, multi-source datasets using statistical methods
Develop, validate, and deploy distributed ML models with Spark at scale
Query lakehouse data with Athena, Trino, and Spark SQL for performance
Apply AI tools to accelerate data exploration while validating results
Define operational metrics and build dashboards with Grafana
Design experiments to evaluate changes, model performance, and analytics outcomes
Collaborate with Data Engineers and AI Engineers on productionizing models
Document methods, assumptions, and uncertainties for stakeholders
