Job summary

Innovim is seeking a Journeyman Data Scientist to support a federal applied research program in acquisition cost analytics. You will build and maintain automated data pipelines, tune models, and craft visualizations that illuminate findings for decision-makers.

The role requires five+ years in data science, Python/R, Databricks, and a current Active Secret clearance. Remote or hybrid work in the United States with occasional travel to NCR may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of data science experience.
• Proficiency in Python and R for analysis and modeling.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines.
• Advanced knowledge of Databricks or equivalent platform.
• Ability to present findings with Tableau/Power BI.
• Experience working with diverse teams and translating insights.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines, including ETL.
• Implement automated data quality checks, validation rules, and logging.
• Build metadata tagging and data lineage for traceability.
• Maintain pipeline code and docs in government version control.
• Improve models via hyperparameter tuning and feature engineering.
• Create dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with cost analysts and engineers to translate results into recommendations.
