Job summary

ICF is hiring a Data Scientist Intern for Summer 2027. This entry-level, 10-week, full-time internship can be hybrid from our Denver, CO office or Reston, VA, or remote from anywhere in the U.S. The role focuses on maintaining and enhancing predictive analytics models to support energy efficiency programs.

The ideal candidate will work with advanced statistics, data manipulation, and ML techniques, applying results to IT systems and producing technical reports for business objectives.

Qualifications

• Completed bachelor’s degree plus enrollment verification or 9 credits in a Master’s program within data science or similar.
• Must pass background check(s) including drug screening.
• All work performed in the U.S. per contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets spanning customer behavior, energy usage, and marketing performance to identify techniques.
• Develop and execute code to support predictive analytics models.
• Validate outputs and produce technical reports.
