Job summary

Analytica is seeking a Data Scientist II to support a defense health mission-critical program. The role involves developing analytics, ML, and AI solutions, and delivering data-driven insights within multidisciplinary teams.

The candidate will work across project workstreams to analyze complex data, build predictive/prescriptive models, and deliver actionable insights while maintaining client communications. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; master's preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, ML, or AI in applied projects.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills for data prep, analytics, model development, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience building and evaluating ML models with feature engineering, design, and evaluation.
  • Familiarity with NLP, large language models, embeddings, RAG, and prompt engineering.
  • Experience creating dashboards or visual analytics with Power BI/Tableau/Python.
  • Experience integrating data/ML services into enterprise environments using APIs.
  • Experience working in a Git-based team, agile processes, and code reviews.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills; clear status reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy analytics, ML, NLP, and AI solutions to advance client objectives.
  • Develop and enhance generative AI components using LLMs, embeddings, vector DBs, and cloud AI services.
  • Critically evaluate generated code and analyses, validate sources, test outputs, document decisions.
  • Perform data acquisition, ETL, EDA, feature engineering, and validation with Python/SQL.
  • Apply statistical methods, predictive modeling, ML, and time-series to healthcare, business, and operations.
  • Develop, test, deploy, and monitor AI/ML components for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Create dashboards and visual analytics using Power BI/Tableau/Python as needed.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and troubleshoot APIs and data services; integrate with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to Git workflows, Agile tickets, and team development practices.
  • Produce documentation, presentations, and knowledge-transfer materials; contribute to research.
