Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Data Scientist to help build the next generation of AI/ML capabilities for cyber security. You will partner with scientists, engineers, and product managers to shape strategy and lead hands-on innovation in AI safety, red-teaming, and applied AI deployments.

You will influence technical direction, collaborate across teams, and create impactful LLM-driven applications to revolutionize secure AI interactions.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
• 5+ years of applied ML / research experience with production models.
• Deep expertise in LLM training or deployment at scale.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and technical strategy skills.
• Proficient in Python, DL frameworks, and cloud tech.
• Expertise in GPU architectures and optimisation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.
• Proven ability to solve complex, large-scale technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI safety and cyber-detection solutions with fast iteration.
• Co-develop end-to-end research: data sourcing, labeling, modeling, evaluation.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Lead GenAI research directions and architecture decisions.
• Balance accuracy with efficiency and deployment costs.
• Mentor data scientists and drive engineering excellence.
• Align technical strategy with business goals with cross-functional leaders.
• Contribute to publications, talks, and thought leadership.
