Job summary

Luna Joy is a virtual behavioral health practice seeking a Data Science and Business Insights Lead to own the data stack (dbt on BigQuery). You will define modeling standards, triage issues, and provide defensible metrics for Finance, Clinical Ops, Growth, and executives.

You will be the sole owner of the analytics stack, with autonomy and accountability to deliver trusted numbers and actionable insights for a company serving one million women, in a remote, fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Expert SQL: advanced window functions, complex CTEs, and grain/fan-out reasoning.
• Production dbt: owned or built dbt models, tests, sources, exposures, and refactoring discipline.
• Fluent in Google BigQuery, performance and cost awareness.
• End-to-end ownership of an analytics stack, incl. broken pipelines and stakeholder requests.
• Strong written communication in a remote, sole-owner role.
• Judgment and self-direction: decide what to build and in what order.

Responsibilities

• Data Modeling (dbt + BigQuery): maintain and extend a production dbt project.
• Ingestion and Pipelines: own source health, diagnose sync issues, maintain Python build scheduler.
• Reporting and BI Delivery: produce recurring reports and maintain dashboards.
• Analysis and Stakeholder Partnership: partner with Finance, Clinical Ops, Growth, and Exec leadership.
• Data Governance and Trust: handle PHI, maintain test-data exclusions, ensure metric definitions.
