UMB Bank is seeking a Data Product Manager to lead the design and delivery of data-driven products. You will collaborate with data owners, engineers, data scientists and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions that drive business impact.

You will define roadmaps, manage backlogs, and champion data governance, privacy, and security across platforms. This hybrid role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and measurable outcomes within a dynamic banking environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years in data governance/product management/business analysis/data engineering or related field.
• 3+ years focused on data products or data-driven initiatives.
• Ability to lead cross-functional partners and communicate with business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into data, product specs, and technical requirements.
• Work with data engineering, data science, governance, and platform teams to launch data products.
• Define vision, roadmap, and strategic priorities for data products.
• Develop a product backlog and manage release planning.
• Prioritize features based on feedback, market needs, and goals.
• Create documentation: user guides, specs, data mappings, lineage and controls.
• Co-develop end-to-end data product lifecycle from ideation to deployment.
• Ensure scalability, security, and regulatory compliance of products.
• Monitor KPIs and analyze performance to drive improvements.
• Communicate updates and performance to stakeholders.
