Job summary

Grüns is seeking a Director of Data Engineering to own the data platform and lead the team that builds it. This role is remote HQ, with a high-trust environment and biannual off-sites for in-person connection.

You will steer the data roadmap, refactor legacy jobs, and ensure data pipelines remain accurate and trusted across the company, while coaching engineers and integrating ERP systems where needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data architecture or data engineering.
• 3+ years leading teams.
• Experience building and scaling cloud data platforms (BigQuery or similar).
• Strong SQL, Python, and dbt or similar modeling framework.

Responsibilities

• Own the data roadmap and company data model with a single source of truth.
• Refactor legacy jobs and tech debt for scalable platforms.
• Keep pipelines resilient so data stays available, accurate, and trusted.
