Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation across AWS and Azure. The role emphasizes IaC, cloud operations, and rapid deployment for a data engineering platform.

You will craft scalable Terraform-based frameworks, automate cloud tasks, and implement robust monitoring and disaster recovery. The position is remote and nationwide within the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience designing automated CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, test, deploy CI/CD pipelines across environments.
• Design, provision, and manage IaC for Snowflake, AWS, DBT, Qlik with Terraform.
• Develop Python scripts for automation and tooling to support deployment workflows.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability with Splunk, Dynatrace, CloudWatch.
• Automate deployment of Airflow DAGs, dbt Cloud transforms, and data jobs.
• Develop backup and disaster recovery strategies for data infrastructure.
• Create and maintain runbooks and documentation; mentor and train teams.
