Job summary

BairesDev is seeking an experienced Data Platform Architect to lead the design of an Azure and Snowflake powered data platform. You will own security and architecture decisions in a regulated, client-facing setting, building a production‑grade system from the ground up.

You will collaborate with investment professionals, implement event-driven ingestion, and ensure scalable, compliant data services while mentoring a global team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture.
• Strong expertise in Azure data architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure managed data services (Fabric, Data Factory, Functions, ADLS Gen2).
• Proven Snowflake greenfield setup including accounts, warehouses, RBAC, masking, and row‑level security.
• Experience designing access using Entra ID and managed identity or Microsoft Graph.
• Event‑driven ingestion experience (change‑triggered extraction, queues, webhooks).
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Azure data architecture from the ground up using managed services.
• Set up Snowflake greenfield environments and manage RBAC, masking, and security.
• Design access architecture with Entra ID and managed identity.
• Build event‑driven ingestion pipelines with change detection, queues, and webhooks.
• Own security posture and architecture decisions in a regulated environment.
• Collaborate directly with investment professionals as the client‑facing technical authority.
