Job summary

OG Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Data Liaison to bridge business stakeholders and analytics teams, ensuring dashboards reflect business logic and data sources.

You will translate executive requests into data specifications and validate data before leadership review. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in business/commercial analytics, experience with syndicated data (Nielsen preferred), and strong communication to guidance to technical teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Commercial Analytics, Consumer Insights, Market Research, Strategy, or a related analytical role.
• Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Retail, or similar commercial environment preferred.
• Experience with syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen) and choosing appropriate data sources for business questions.
• Strong understanding of retail and commercial performance metrics (velocity, distribution, market share, merchandising, pricing, KPIs).
• Excellent analytical/problem-solving skills; ability to validate data, calculations, and reporting accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate business requirements to technical teams.
• Experience collaborating with analytics, BI, engineering, or dashboard development teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders, insights teams, and analytics developers, translating requests into data specifications and analytical approaches.
• Review dashboards and reporting logic to ensure correct business logic, methodologies, metrics, and data sources.
• Participate in business and executive reporting discussions to understand priorities and data usage for decisions.
• Document metrics, calculations, and data source guidance to establish reporting standards.
• Coach analytics developers to understand business metrics and reporting expectations for greater independence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes and scalable documentation.
