Job summary

Slash is seeking a seasoned Data Solution Architect to bridge strategy and execution for complex data lakehouse initiatives. You will lead end-to-end architecture across multi-cloud, ensuring governance, security, and scalable pipelines.

You bring 5+ years in data engineering, hands-on expertise with Talend Studio, Spark, Impala, and Iceberg, and are fluent in English with proven client-facing leadership. Occasional travel to UAE is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering and data lakehouse design.
• Proven Talend Studio and Talend Data Quality experience.
• Experience with metadata management and Qlik Data Catalog.
• Strong command of Spark, Impala, and Iceberg for large-scale workloads.
• Fluent English communication; client-facing stakeholder engagement.
• Willingness for occasional travel to the United Arab Emirates.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architectural design and governance of a modern data lakehouse.
• Design ingestion pipelines and patterns using Talend Studio.
• Define data governance, cataloging, profiling, and metadata frameworks.
• Develop high-throughput transforms and analytics layers with Spark/Impala/Iceberg.
• Mentor data engineers and ensure security, performance, and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and travel to UAE as needed.
