Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) seeks an experienced Business/Systems Analyst to support its Data Management Program. This remote role requires strong SQL skills, data mapping expertise, and the ability to bridge business and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

You will translate business requirements into technical specs, support reporting and data warehouse initiatives, and participate in Agile team activities to deliver high-quality data management

Qualifications

• Minimum 8-10 years of experience as a Business/Systems Analyst.
• Strong hands-on SQL development skills.
• Experience with source-to-target data mapping and data integration analysis.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to design data integration processes.
• Develop and document source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
• Gather requirements, develop user stories, and define acceptance criteria.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and system requirements.
• Perform root cause analysis and investigate complex datasets for insights.
• Support reporting and data warehouse requirements development.
• Plan and execute system testing, data validation, and UAT.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and validate solutions.
• Prepare system documentation and design specifications.
