Job summary

Speechify is hiring for its Data side of the AI team. You will join as a Software Engineer to build and scale ingestion pipelines and collaborate with scientists to improve model training. This is a full-time remote position with a focus on data collection at scale.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software development experience, a CS degree, and proficiency in Python/Bash, Docker, Terraform, and GCP. You will handle multiple tasks in a fast-growing, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Be scrappy to find new sources of audio data and bring it into our ingestion pipeline.
• Operate and extend the cloud infrastructure for our ingestion pipeline, currently running on GCP and managed with Terraform.
• Collaborate closely with Scientists to optimize cost/throughput/quality for data at scale.
• Help craft the AI Team’s dataset roadmap to power Speechify’s next-generation products.
