Job summary

Regions is seeking a Data Management and Governance Partner to lead data as a corporate asset and enable risk management. The role collaborates with Business Units, Risk, and Internal Audit to enforce standards and drive data governance initiatives.

The role is offsite, primarily remote with occasional on-site meetings at the Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, Alabama, and requires strong executive communication skills and extensive banking data management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business analytics with ten years banking or systems management experience.
• High School Diploma or GED with fourteen years banking or systems management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead data management and governance programs to treat data as a corporate asset.
• Manage matrixed data steward teams across units to deliver data priorities.
• Partner with GDO data councils to govern data and enforce standards.
• Coach senior leaders on data risk management and value delivery.
• Define roadmaps for data management in partnership with GDOs.
• Drive automation by directing teams to build software solutions for data products.
• Prioritize data management work for data product development.
• Collaborate with data scientists to enable data product development through domain expertise.
• Develop business requirements and implement platforms for data quality, metadata, catalog and APIs for lineage tracking.
• Support regulatory reporting and address MRAs as needed.
• Evaluate build vs buy decisions and guide vendor selections.
• Set success criteria and measurement for data governance initiatives.
