Job summary

CSC is seeking a Data Governance Specialist to advance the enterprise data governance program within a federated operating model. You will collaborate with data owners, stewards, and IT teams to establish governance, improve metadata and data quality, and support privacy, retention, and risk requirements.

Responsibilities include guiding governance councils, documenting owners and stewards, enabling metadata catalogs, tracking metrics, and reporting governance outcomes while promoting adoption

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Management, Analytics, CS or related field.
• CDMP or comparable data management certification preferred.
• 3-5 years in data governance, data quality, metadata management, or related fields.
• Experience applying GDPR/CCPA privacy laws in corporate settings.
• Proficiency with governance/catalog platforms such as Informatica Purview/Collibra/Alation.

Responsibilities

• Support the data governance program and maturity within a federated model.
• Identify and document Data Owners and Business Data Stewards.
• Develop and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and governance catalogs.
• Define governance KPIs, monitor trends, and report outcomes to leadership.
