Job summary

SHI is seeking a Solutions Architect, Data Governance to lead governance strategy and architecture for enterprise data estates. You will partner with executives, data leaders and delivery teams to design and implement governance programs, including metadata, taxonomy, lineage, and stewardship models.

You will guide governance execution across Microsoft Purview, Fabric, Azure services, and Power BI, ensuring strong governance controls and measurable adoption in client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Computer Science or related field.
• Seven or more years delivering enterprise data, information management, or data governance solutions with recent governance focus.
• Hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Purview, including Unified Catalog, Data Map, and data lineage.
• Experience establishing data stewardship programs with sponsorship, ownership, accountability, and adoption.
• Experience leading customer-facing consulting engagements, executive workshops, governance assessments, and advisory initiatives.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Azure.
• Experience with data engineering and data visualization architectures and their governance implications.
• Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and governance reporting.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead governance discovery workshops, maturity assessments, roadmap engagements, and executive strategy sessions.
• Design enterprise governance frameworks including stewardship models, ownership structures, governance policies, and metadata processes.
• Architect and oversee Purview data governance implementations: Unified Catalog, Data Map, and data lineage.
• Establish governance standards across Fabric, Azure Data Services, Power BI, SQL Server, Snowflake and related platforms.
• Guide customers in sustainable governance processes, operating procedures, and stewardship responsibilities.
• Serve as trusted advisor to executives, data leaders, governance councils and technical teams.
• Translate objectives and regulatory requirements into scalable governance solutions.
• Lead customer-focused workshops, architecture reviews, and governance design sessions.
• Design governance monitoring and reporting using Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics; drive adoption tracking.
• Contribute accelerators and reusable assets; apply AI-accelerated delivery patterns.
