Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings, based in Charleston, WV, seeks a Data Governance Analyst to manage governance technologies and programs across data cataloging, metadata, MDM, privacy, and quality initiatives.

You will partner with Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal, and business teams to implement the data catalog, lead Unity Catalog and Osano, and drive governance adoption with measurable data quality improvements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Administer the enterprise Data Catalog with the Data Governance team.
• Lead data catalog roadmap: metadata collection, asset onboarding, data classification, glossary, and lineage.
• Support Databricks Unity Catalog: data asset registration, metadata, access governance, catalog organization.
• Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and engineering to improve discoverability and governance adoption.
• Design and lead the Data Stewardship Program aligned with catalog deployment.
• Serve as administrator and liaison for Osano, managing enhancements and compliance requests.
• Support MDM platforms, stewardship workflows, and data quality initiatives.
• Monitor platform adoption, governance metrics, and usage trends; suggest improvements.
• Support governance projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Develop governance documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
