Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. This individual will be responsible for entering, updating, and maintaining data in our company's databases and computer systems. The ideal candidate will have strong typing skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to handle large amounts of data efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Accurately input and update data from various sources (e.g., forms, spreadsheets, documents) into company systems and databases.
  • Verify the accuracy of the data entered and make corrections as needed.
  • Organize and maintain data files, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of information.
  • Perform regular data checks and updates to ensure the integrity and consistency of data.
  • Generate reports or summaries from data, as required.
  • Respond to and resolve any data discrepancies or errors in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the proper flow of data and information.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive data.
  • Assist with other administrative duties and projects as needed.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in data management is a plus).
  • Previous experience in data entry or a similar administrative role is preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry software.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy (e.g., 50-60 words per minute).
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in data entry tasks.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Salary / Compensation : $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
