What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Obtain and enter demographic, insurance, and financial information from patients with high accuracy
- Schedule patient appointments and ensure timely entry of required information
- Explain forms to patients or guarantors and secure necessary signatures
- Ensure medical necessity compliance by reviewing data and communicating effectively with patients
- Collect patient liabilities and establish payment arrangements while providing financial counseling
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital or medical business office setting
- Proficient typing/keyboarding skills
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Physical capability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently
