Job summary

Ethos is seeking a highly capable software/data/AI practitioner for a fully remote, part-time engagement. Compensation is $80 per hour with a commitment of 5–20 hours per week, flexible scheduling, and an ASAP start.

You will contribute to documenting technical tradeoffs and model evaluations while working independently on your own schedule. This role emphasizes precise written documentation, data pipelines, and API specifications, with a focus on delivering clear, high-quality design materials

Qualifications

• 4+ years as a software engineer, data engineer, or AI/ML practitioner writing technical design documents, data pipeline documentation, or API specifications
• Direct experience evaluating model outputs or system readiness and documenting technical tradeoffs for engineering or cross-functional stakeholders
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship, with excellent written communication and attention to detail
