Apex Systems is seeking a Data Engineer to join an enterprise data team. The role will own day-to-day pipeline development and support, helping build out the modern data stack with dbt, Dagster, and Databricks. You will collaborate with data modelers, DBAs, and analysts to deliver reliable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Hands-on production experience with Snowflake.
• Advanced Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and deployments.
• Designing and operating scalable batch or streaming pipelines.
• Strong data warehousing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and support ELT/ETL pipelines that move data into Snowflake for reporting and analytics.
• Develop reusable datasets and transformations using dbt, Databricks, and Spark.
• Configure and support scheduled workflows using JAMS, Dagster, or similar tools.
• Use Azure DevOps CI/CD practices to develop, test, and deploy data pipelines.
• Build data-quality checks for completeness, accuracy, freshness, and schema changes.
• Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call support, and document fixes.
• Collaborate with data modelers, DBAs, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to turn requirements into maintainable solutions.
• Maintain documentation, including data flows and transformation logic.
