DriveTime is seeking a Data Engineer in Tempe to transform raw data into trusted analytics assets. You will build and optimize dbt Core models in Snowflake, design scalable data structures, and collaborate across teams to power BI and self-service analytics.

You’ll automate pipelines with Python, enforce data quality, monitor performance and costs, and contribute to governance and metadata initiatives with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, or related field is required.
• Hands-on experience with dbt Core to build analytics-ready datasets.
• Strong SQL and data modeling techniques use in Snowflake environments.
• Experience with Python for data transformations and automation.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Argo, and SSIS for data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize dbt Core models in Snowflake.
• Design scalable data models to support reporting and BI.
• Collaborate to build ELT pipelines and data workflows.
• Automate data transformations with Python and ensure data quality.
• Monitor and optimize Snowflake performance and costs.
• Create documentation, metadata, and data lineage for governance.
• Engage with stakeholders to implement data solutions and governance.
