Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking an experienced Data Engineer II to design, build, and maintain scalable data systems that enable informed decision-making across the organization.

You will lead the operationalization of complex data pipelines, validate data, and collaborate with clinical, HR, finance, and other teams to ensure data integrity and accessibility. A remote role with occasional site travel supports RI and SE Massachusetts locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM or equivalent.
• Epic Clarity Cogito certification preferred.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and other data tools.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains large-scale data processing systems.
• Works with multiple data warehouses and data lakes.
• Performs advanced analysis of data sources to determine value and inclusion in analytical environments.
• Profiles and reorganizes data sources to reduce complexity and improve quality.
• Develops automated data validation and mapping rules for regular updates.
• Mentors junior engineers and collaborates across teams.
• Contributes to cloud migration and data infrastructure modernization.
