Job summary

B Lab is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to join the Data & AI team and build the data pipelines and infrastructure powering analytics and ML initiatives. You will prioritize onboarding new data sources and partner with analytics and governance to maintain data standards.

This full-time, remote-first role requires residency in Pennsylvania, New York, or Brazil at start and commuting distance to our offices in Philadelphia, New York City, or São Paulo.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in data engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD culture and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python/Java/Scala).
• Experience with data pipelines and onboarding new data sources.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and onboard new data sources.
• Collaborate with analytics, governance, and AI teams to meet data needs.
• Ensure data availability and quality for analysts and ML engineers.
• Evaluate new tooling to improve onboarding speed and reliability.
