Job summary
Element Solutions, a remote-first HUBZone-certified digital transformation partner based in Washington, DC, seeks a data engineer to design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, develop Airflow DAGs, and optimize Snowflake schemas for efficient data delivery.
You will collaborate with stakeholders, participate in code reviews and CI/CD improvements, and mentor teammates while applying strong SQL and Python skills to automate data workflows.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional data engineering experience with Snowflake and Apache Airflow.
- Strong SQL and Python proficiency for data transformation and automation.
- Experience with version control, data quality practices, and cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain reliable, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
- Develop Apache Airflow DAGs to orchestrate tasks, schedules, dependencies, and monitoring.
- Build Snowflake data structures and optimize SQL queries for performance and cost.
- Work with technical teams and stakeholders to clarify data requirements and deliver practical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and CI/CD improvement.
- Share knowledge and provide technical guidance to teammates.
