Job summary

Celigo is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines on Snowflake, build robust data models, and implement observability and governance frameworks. You’ll collaborate with Analytics, Product, and Engineering to translate business requirements into high-performance data solutions.

The role emphasizes SQL/Python proficiency, production Snowflake experience, and modern tooling like dbt, Airflow, and GitHub Actions, with a remote-first culture and strong focus on cost

Qualifications

• Five+ years building production-grade data pipelines.
• Three+ years with Snowflake in production.
• SQL and Python proficiency mandatory.
• Experience with CI/CD-driven data pipelines (dbt + GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and auditing in cloud warehouses.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and data infrastructure.
• Implement data models (dimensional, data vault, medallion) for analytics and ML.
• Collaborate in architectural discussions and decisions with the team.
• Translate business requirements into reliable, well-documented data solutions.
• Establish data quality standards, validations, and observability frameworks.
• Contribute to data governance including lineage, access control, and compliance.
• Monitor and optimize pipeline performance and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate Snowflake features and data tooling to improve velocity and reduce cost.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development and documentation.
