Job summary

West 4th Strategy seeks an experienced Data Engineer for the National Guard Bureau on the Minuteman project. You will design, implement, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Databricks, Python, Spark, Scala, JavaScript/JSON, and SQL, supporting the enterprise data environment and analytics platform.

This remote role requires 40 hours per week and 3–10 years of data engineering experience, with strong governance and collaboration with data scientists and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of directly related experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Proficiency with ETL processes and Databricks, Python, Spark, Scala, JavaScript/JSON, SQL, and Jupyter Notebooks.
• Experience with large datasets and big data technologies.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements end-to-end data pipelines using ETL processes and technologies.
• Works with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design optimal data models and architectures.
• Creates and optimizes data pipelines from scratch for scalability and high performance.
• Performs data cleansing, integration, and quality assurance.
